As with any electronic device, there may be times when things just don’t work the way we expect. Here are some steps you can take to ensure your Citrix Workspace app is in top working condition.
Verify App Installation
Start by checking what version of the Citrix app is installed on your computer.
- Click your Start button and then Settings (Windows 10) or Control Panel (Windows 7).
- Click on Apps (Windows 10) or Uninstall a Program (Windows 7).
- Scroll through the list and find the one that says Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace.
- If it says Citrix Receiver, proceed to Uninstall and Reinstall the App.
- If it says Citrix Wokspace, verify that it is version 1911 (19.11.0.50) or higher.
- If it is not, proceed to Uninstall and Reinstall the App.
- If it is, proceed to Clear Browser Cache.
Uninstall and Reinstall the App
Sometimes the Cixtrix Workspace app needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled in order to clear up connection issues or upgrade to a compatible client.
- Begin by highlighting the Citrix software from the Apps (Windows 10) or Uninstall a Program (Windows 7) screen.
- Click the Uninstall button and then confirm that you would like to uninstall.
- Once complete, reboot your computer.
- Reinstall the Citrix Workspace app by following the instructions on Citrix Workspace: Remote Access to CRSI Network from a Windows PC.
Clear Browser Cache
Web browsing can leave little bits of information behind that can gunk up your browser from time to time. Here are some steps to clear your cache.
- In Microsoft Edge
- Go to the ellipsis button (...) and then Settings.
- Under Clear browsing data, click the Choose what to clear button.
- Leave the checkmarks as default and click Clear.
- In Google Chrome
- Go to the ellipsis button (...) and then Settings.
- Click Clear browsing data from the middle of the page.
- Leave the checkmarks as default and click Clear data.
- In Mozilla Firefox
- Go to the Menu button () and then Options.
- On the left menu, select Privacy & Security.
- Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.
- Leave the checkmarks as default and click Clear.
