We've all been there are one point or another. We go to unlock our cell phone and can't remember the passcode or occasionally will mistype it.
Many of us will keep trying different passcodes, hoping we'll eventually get it right. The only problem is that Apple treats repeated attempts as if someone is trying to break into your phone by guessing your password.
If you continue to type incorrect passcode, TouchID/FaceID is disabled, and a timer appears, requiring you to wait longer and longer before you can try again.
After ten (10) incorrect attempts, your phone will perform a factory reset, and all data on the device will be erased.
Getting Your Passcode Reset
If you get to the point where your phone says it has been disabled for 1 minute, stop guessing passcodes. Instead, please Submit a Request for assistance, and one of our team will reach out to assist.
