CRSI offers you and your family members a comprehensive and valuable benefits program. We encourage you to take the time to educate yourself about your options and choose the best coverage for you and your family.
Open enrollment begins June 12, 2020 (extended from June 8). The effective date for all changes will be July 1, 2020. If you previously waived coverage and wish to enroll or if you wish to add or remove dependents on your plan, you must complete the appropriate carrier enrollment/change form.
We offer more peace of mind for families. Adult children can remain on your health plan until the end of the month in which they turn 26. This includes natural, adopted or stepchildren of you or your spouse. Even if they’re married, they can be covered on your plan.
An exception is made for unmarried adult children over the age of 26 who are not self-supporting because of mental or physical handicaps, and who depend on you for support. Provider documentation is required.
Working spouses that have access to coverage at their place of employment can still be enrolled on the CRSI health plan, but they will be required to pay a $100 monthly spousal surcharge in addition to the normal premium amount.
MAKING CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Please remember that the only time enrollment changes can be made outside of open enrollment is in the case of a life event. Examples of life events include but are not limited to: birth, adoption, death, and marriage. It is your responsibility to notify HR of a life event. The appropriate paperwork must be submitted to the carrier within 30 days of the event.
All benefit elections must be completed no later than June 26, 2020 (extended from June 19).
